As I am sure you know the senate's exploding of political power struggle has put a really dampener on the progress of MMA in NYS. I think Bob Reilly is the only op-positioning proponent really... (He is even quoted as not thinking he will win this fight) I have not heard or seen any martial artist's not rooting for the passing of the bill... When i really think about it... These are laws that are being over turned and rewritten. The legal system is all but expedient or prudent. Lawmakers and politicians are the necessary evils of civilized government in our country... The judiciary system takes time to work. So perhaps it is the impatience of we whom wish to bring it here so badly that TIME is our opponent... It really is the only thing in the way at this point...

If there are actual persons, like a class or region, I would say the uneducated folk with money in powerful political positions whom listen to bible banter about hypocritical rights. These are the people that are first to vote us into war but vote against the MMA game do to the "human cockfighting"... How do they think soldiers learn to fight...? It would be the people whom have there safe little home that have forgotten the struggle of how we got here and why we are still here... It would be those whom have no sense of struggle or self analyzation for improvement, or the respect for those sacrificing to find that betterment.

sorry if i got too philosophical on it... I get a little passionate about the topic...

Not to count chickens but the first hurdle in lifting the ban on MMA was definitively won today. 14-6 for MMA. Not that i wouldn't love repeating the blogs out there......

Lyoto Machida.... Every Karate Dojo can look forward to a good year as Machida has yet again taken no damage and knocks out the wrestler turned stand up artist Rashad Evens in the first round.... What a fantastic preformance by the honorable Machida.

The Second round knock out shows all the Mauy Thai, jits MMA run o the mills that the samuria may still have a fighting chance...

Machida averages 1 hit (taken) per 2.5 rounds of fighting... That is a retarded statistic to come by... The allusive fighter strikes a new age in MMA... I do hope it stands for a time... the changE of belt's per defense lately has not shown a hardend MMA Fighter. The Light Heavy Weight Belt really should be defended for some time.... I do hope that Lyoto is the man to do so...

New York State will get it's first round "feel'em out" debate and vote on June 3rd. The MMA Legalization movement will need to go several varying rounds through legislation.

If we get 11 of the 21 votes... the fight for MMA will continue to 2 more comittees before it would reach the floor of the Assembly.... That means only 4 rounds..! My conditioning is up... i hope yours is too...

Dana has Anderson on his word that he will fight whom ever Mr. White wishes. Well Forest is getting his wishes granted as he jumps at the opportunity to fight Silva. What an unimaginable match-up... great curve ball thrown at Silva to really test the metal of this Pound for Pound fighter.

Penn vrs Kenny.... I love this line up... Florian has patiently waited to fight this master. This is Florians' test to measure himself. He really believes in walking the path of the warrior... Ken Flo's determination to test himself a stride BJ's nomenclature will clear his path to reaching the enlightened warrior. BJ really needs to find himself... this may be his inner search to getting back on the path of the warrior.

Any path you take, it better lead to Philadelphia, because come August 8th, the city of brotherly love is getting a reawakening as the UFC comes to town to ring more than just the Liberty Bell.

MMA in NYC

Have ya ever wondered why UFC has not made it to the Garden. They are only the most watched payper veiw in history, they must be maken enough dough to rent out home of boxing.....

Well, MIXED MARTIAL ARTS is still prohibited in NYS. This is a little ridiculous considering it is legal in 37 states. of the remaining 13, only 7 have an Athletic commission. We are in the final 7... I hope we WIN!, actually winning would suck in this case...

The combat sport is all over the place. It is inspiring to see the conditioning of these world class athletes in competition. There is not a gym in the city that doesnt have a couple of fight fan wanna be fighter look alike types... I think it is great. Tap out another set of KB swings...

It is a real shame that MMA has not made it here... Guess they wont make it anywhere... ohh shit... they have made it everywhere... soo where are they, well... every where but here... dude... captian LAME-O strikes

If I can stand on the corner of 58th and Lex and watch a truck driver punch a cab drivers' window in... pull the driver out and move the cab out of his way... why can't I watch a more civilized bout in a controlled environment. makes no sense...
