As I am sure you know the senate's exploding of political power struggle has put a really dampener on the progress of MMA in NYS. I think Bob Reilly is the only op-positioning proponent really... (He is even quoted as not thinking he will win this fight) I have not heard or seen any martial artist's not rooting for the passing of the bill... When i really think about it... These are laws that are being over turned and rewritten. The legal system is all but expedient or prudent. Lawmakers and politicians are the necessary evils of civilized government in our country... The judiciary system takes time to work. So perhaps it is the impatience of we whom wish to bring it here so badly that TIME is our opponent... It really is the only thing in the way at this point...
If there are actual persons, like a class or region, I would say the uneducated folk with money in powerful political positions whom listen to bible banter about hypocritical rights. These are the people that are first to vote us into war but vote against the MMA game do to the "human cockfighting"... How do they think soldiers learn to fight...? It would be the people whom have there safe little home that have forgotten the struggle of how we got here and why we are still here... It would be those whom have no sense of struggle or self analyzation for improvement, or the respect for those sacrificing to find that betterment.
sorry if i got too philosophical on it... I get a little passionate about the topic...
